“COCA-COLA” STARTS ITS TRADEMARK PROTECTION CAMPAIGN IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, May 10. /Mediamax/. The “Coca-Cola Bottlers Armenia” will start an advertising campaign on protection of its trademark Friday.
Company’s representative Armine Sarkisian said at a press conference in Yerevan today that more than 10 cases of illegal usage of trademarks of drinks produced by “Coca-Cola” were found on the territory of Armenia during 2000. For 4 cases the company was obliged to start court examination.
Sarkisian notes that persons breaking the law “On trade mark protection” must withdraw the illegal goods from the market during two weeks and do away with the labels and bottles reminding of the production of “Coca-Cola”. Otherwise, the violators will appear before the court, Sarkisian said.
Coca-Cola is one of the biggest world producers of soft drinks. “Coca-Cola Bottlers Armenia” works in Armenia starting from 1995. –0–
