YEREVAN, May 3. /Mediamax/. Today Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian congratulated Lebanese President Emil Lahoud with the call off of the Israeli forces from the South of Lebanon.
President of the Lebanon Republic has arrived in Armenia with a state visit Wednesday.
Mediamax was informed today by press service of the government that A.Margarian has expressed his thanks for warm attitude towards the Armenian community of Lebanon and for principal approach to Genocide recognition process. Armenian Prime Minister has noted that the high level of bilateral political relations may become an important base for development of economic cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon.
A. Margarian informed that he had already approved the staff of the Armenian members of bilateral intergovernmental commission. After the Lebanese party nominates its members, the commission will start working. Emil Lahaud assured of his readiness to form the Lebanese staff of the commission at the earliest possible day.
Emil Lahoud officially invited Andranik Margarian to visit Lebanon. –0–
