THERE IS NO SINGLE POSITION ON KARABAKH SETTLEMENT IN AZERBAIJAN, NKR FM SAYS

YEREVAN, April 27. /Mediamax/. Foreign Minister of Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR), Naira Melkumian told the journalists that “today there is no a single, consolidated position on Karabakh settlement in Azerbaijan,” Mediamax’s correspondent informs from Stepanakert.
According to the Minister, today it is impossible to determine the official position of Baku on settlement of the conflict.
Melkumian has noted that at first sight, the statement of Ilham Aliyev made at the session of PACE concerning the convey of drugs and placement of illegal arms on the NKR territory seems to be the most scandalous. However, from the viewpoint of prospects of conflict settlement, the most significant statement is that made by the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Vilayat Guliyev. He has said that the Azerbaijani society is ready neither for peace, nor for war, because peace first of all means mutual compromises. Naira Melkumian called this statement “discouraging”.
“After such diplomatic revelations, it becomes clear from where do the “sensational” statements of Ilham Aliyev and other Azerbaijani officials carrying an anti-Armenian campaign and calling for military decision of the conflict come,” Melkumian stressed.
“The responsibility for the existing situation and for the fate of the peace process falls on political authorities of Azerbaijan, who have not been able to prepare their people for inevitable compromises in such a long period,” FM of NKR said. –0–
