YEREVAN, April 25. /Mediamax/. The publication of the information about the existence of the so called Meghri variant of territorial swap between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the powerful counteraction on the part of the political forces and the society of Armenia compelled its authors to search for modified versions of the same variant, the statement of the Front of National Agreement (FNA) of Armenia, read out today at a briefing in Yerevan, says.
The authors of the statement assert that the main objective of the led “keen game” is to seize the border Meghri region from Armenia by “camouflaging it under the respectable idea of opening transport communication in this section, securing its functioning by international forces”.
The FNA turned today to Armenian authorities demanding “to reject the vicious practice of keeping away the people from participation in the determination of their own fate”. “We demand to lift the veil of secrecy from the settlement plan and to submit it for national discussion before the Geneva round of talks”, the FNA statement reads. –0–
