YEREVAN, April 23. /Mediamax/. “The results of the tender for privatization of the distributive power networks, in a certain extent, don’t honor Armenia”, press secretary of World Bank (WB) Yerevan Office, Vigen Sarkisian said in the interview to Mediamax.
At the same time, Sarkisian said the events shouldn’t be dramatized. In the formed situation, the Government of Armenia must confirm at earliest possible date its adherence to economic reforms and “continue to advance”, Vigen Sarkisian said.
WB Yerevan Office representative said that besides the serious work, many miscalculations were made in the matter of organization of the tender. “Let’s just hope the Government will draw corresponding conclusions and will undertake necessary steps to attract investments”, Vigen Sarkisian said.
According to him, the extreme politicization of the question resulted in the submission of a “tough” network sale agreement to the companies-pretenders, which in its turn negatively influenced on the moods of potential investors. –0–
