YEREVAN, April 23. /Mediamax/. “The sure winner in this situation became the “energy mafia”, press secretary of World Bank (WB) Yerevan Office, Vigen Sarkisian said in the interview to Mediamax, commenting on the failed tender for privatization of Armenia’s distributive power networks.
On April 21, the tender commission didn’t receive claims for the privatization of the distributive power networks.
According to Vigen Sarkisian, the economic illiteracy of several opposition forces of Armenia, speaking against the privatization of the networks, has become quite apparent lately. Moreover, Sarkisian said, it served as a definite ideological basis for the “energy mafia”. Sarkisian noted that the weekly losses in the system of the distributive power networks of Armenia make at least 1 million USD, which “accumulate in the pocket” of these shadow circles. –0–
