YEREVAN, April 20. /Mediamax/. Armenian FM Vardan Oskanian believes that the intention of mediators to start consultations with authorities of Iran is aimed at elimination of misgivings of Teheran caused by rumors about territorial swap between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Speaking Thursday evening by the “Armenia” TV, Oskanian said that the mediators were going to inform Teheran about the absence of such an proposal.
The Armenian Minister said the decision of Minsk group co-chairs to start consultations with Iran was right. “Unlike Turkey, Iran has always had an impartial and balanced position in this conflict, which, naturally, has not been very easy to maintain,” Oskanian stressed. –0–
