ECONOMIC INDICES OF FIRST QUARTER BEAR UNPRECEDENTED CHARACTER, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SAID

YEREVAN, April 19. /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Robert Kocharian, presiding today over the meeting of the Government, said that the economic indices of the first quarter of 2001 bear unprecedented character.
As Mediamax was informed today in the press service of the government, President Kocharian said that in the first quarter, the growth of GDP made 12.1%, the industrial production growth – 20%, export growth – 28.8%. Robert Kocharian said if these trends are preserved, the current year may become a decisive one for the economic development of Armenia. –0–
