LEADERS OF PARLIAMENTARY FACTIONS DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITY OF HOLDING HEARINGS ON KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

YEREVAN, April 19. /Mediamax/. Head of “Dashnaktsutiun” faction, Aghvan Vardanian named today untimely the holding of parliamentary hearings on the problem of Karabakh conflict settlement.
Speaking today at a briefing in Yerevan, Vardanian said until there is a new formal proposal of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, the holding of such hearings “won’t give anything”.
Leader of “Orinats Yerkir” faction Arthur Baghdasarian, on the contrary, said today that he thinks the parliamentary hearings are necessary.
The head of “Unity” faction, Galust Sahakian also supported the idea of holding hearings. At the same time, the leader of the parliamentary majority stressed that the final variant of the settlement of the Karabakh dispute must be approved not only by the parliament, but also by the whole nation by holding a referendum. –0–
