BUSH TREATS KARABAKH ISSUE AS A TOP PRIORITY

YEREVAN, March 30. /Mediamax/. The American Co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassador Carey Cavanaugh said U.S. President George Bush is treating the Nagorno Karabakh issue as a top priority.
Mediamax was informed in the headquarters of the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) that Cavanough told the Armenian Assembly Trustees that he was encouraged by the acceleration of peace talks between Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents. He stressed the importance of an early settlement of the conflict noting the benefit to long-term economic and social development within both countries.
“Our hope is that the U.S. France and Russia working directly with the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, can increase the potential for finding a solution to this conflict,” Carey Cavanough said. –0–
