YEREVAN, March 28. /Mediamax/. The envelopes with suggestions of companies participating in the tender for privatization of distributive power networks of Armenia will be opened on 19 April.
Mediamax was informed in the Energy Ministry that the tender committee adopted such a decision at its session Tuesday evening. Earlier it was supposed that the winners of the tender will be announced on 29 March, in accordance with the previously approved schedule.
Sources of Mediamax in the Energy Ministry of Armenia Tuesday refuted reports concerning the refusal of American AES Silk Road Company to participate in the tender for privatization of distributive power networks of Armenia. The Energy Ministry specified that on March 23 representatives of the American company turned to the tender committee with a request to postpone for two weeks the date the results of the tender will be summed up. They argued this by the fact that AES Silk Road didn’t manage to get acquainted with the agreement text.
Besides the AES Silk Road, the Spanish Union Ferosa company and the Swiss-Swedish ABB are also participating in the tender. –0–
