ARMENIAN ENERGY MINISTRY REFUTES INFORMATION CONCERNING REFUSAL OF AES SILK ROAD TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TENDER

YEREVAN, March 27. /Mediamax/. Sources of Mediamax in the Energy Ministry of Armenia refuted reports concerning the refusal of American AES Silk Road Company to participate in the tender for privatization of distributive power networks of Armenia.
Earlier today leader of the Democratic Party Aram Sarkisian, quoting reliable sources, stated that AES Silk Road refused to take part in the tender.
Sources of Mediamax in the Energy Ministry specified that on March 23 representatives of the American company turned to the tender committee with a request to postpone for two weeks the date the results of the tender will be summed up. They argued this by the fact that AES Silk Road didn’t manage to get acquainted with the agreement text.
The tender commission for the privatization of distributive power networks will meet today at 18:00 to decide whether to postpone the date of announcing the results of the tender, or to announce them on March 29, in accord with the formerly planned schedule. –0–
