WINNERS OF THE TENDER FOR PRIVATIZATION OF THE POWER NETWORKS WERE ALREADY KNOWN A FEW MONTHS AGO, ARMENIAN PAPER REPORTS

YEREVAN, March 21. /Mediamax/. In fact, the winners of the tender for the privatization of the 4 distributive power networks of Armenia were already known a few months ago, Yerevan “Haykakan Zhamanak” paper reported today.
Quoting its own sources, the paper reports that American AES Silk Road will purchase “Yerevan” and “North” networks for 18-20 million dollars, and “Center” and “South” networks will be bought by Union Fenosa for 16-18 million dollars.
Armenian Energy Minister Karen Galustian said at the beginning of the week that the envelopes with the proposals of potential investors will be opened on March 29.
3 companies are participating in the tender – the American AES Silk Road, the Spanish Union Fenosa, and the Swiss-Swedish ABB. –0–
