YEREVAN, March 19. /Mediamax/. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has reacted to Azeri President Heydar Aliyev’s dissatisfaction with the expansion of Iran-Armenia-Greece cooperation, saying the trilateral cooperation would not prejudice any third country, an unnamed source in the Foreign Ministry of Iran told IRNA.
He said regional cooperation is aimed to expand and strengthen ties, adding “it is surprising that the Azeri president has expressed concern about it.”
“Aliyev’s statements aim to divert the public opinion. Mr. Aliyev who has always welcomed the foreigners to the region had better not be worried about regional cooperation,” the source told IRNA. –0–
