YEREVAN, March 16. /Mediamax/. Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev said the Caucasian region is the crossroad of powerful states’ strategic interests and Baku wants Turkey to stimulate its activity in the region.
As Prime News reports, Abiyev stated this at the meeting with chief of the Strategic service of the headquarters of Turkish Armed Forces, Nusret Tashteler. Abiyev also said that today Azerbaijan is the center of the Caucasian region, and “if anyone wants to realize its strategic interests in this region, it has to cooperate with Azerbaijan”.
