1.5 BILLION DOLLARS MUST BE INVESTED IN ARMENIA’S ENERGY COMPLEX BY 2010

YEREVAN, March 16. /Mediamax/. According to preliminary estimations, 1.5 billion US dollars must be invested in the energy complex of Armenia by 2010, Minister of Energy of Armenia Karen Galustian told this today in the interview to Yerevan “Iravunk” paper.
He noted that to settle this problem it is necessary to solve 2 problems minimum: to make the sphere attractive for foreign investors and to realize legislative changes.
Energy Minister of Armenia said that talks with the French ALSTOM Company are proceeding at present for the modernization of Hrazdan Thermoelectric Power Station. “Until recent we were working with ABB company in this question, however, this company has sold its share to ALSTOM”, Karen Galustian cleared up. –0–
