YEREVAN, March 13. /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian received on March 12 representatives of the Manufacturers and businessmen union of Armenia, Mediamax was informed in the press service of the government of the country.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss proposals of businessmen concerning the bill of amendments to the Law “On organizing and realizing check-ups of organizations, operating on the territory of Armenia”, which was passed at the first reading in the National Assembly and was submitted to the government of Armenia.
Chairman of the Manufacturers and businessmen union of Armenia Arsen Ghazarian noted that the legislative package on reforms in tax and customs spheres, submitted to the government in late 2000, has already had positive influence on the business atmosphere in the country. Taking into consideration high economic indices , registered in early 2001, there is no need to make radical changes in this sphere, as it might be retroactive , Ghazarian said.
Minister for State Incomes Andranik Manukian said at the meeting that the government also speaks against sharp, radical changes in the economic policy. -0-
