YEREVAN, March 13. /Mediamax/. The President of Armenia Robert Kocharian met on March 12 with the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, Mediamax was informed in the press office of the president of the country.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues, concerning mutual relations of the church and the state, as well as festivities, dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of adoption of Christianity as state religion in Armenia.
President Kocharian highly assessed the role of the church in the spiritual rebirth of the people and said he considered the church as a national structure, preserving and developing cultural wealth. -0-
