Acer releases first Android 3.0 tablet in U.S. April 14

The Acer Iconia Tab A500, the company’s first Honeycomb-based tablet, features a 10.1-inch screen, dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB of RAM, adobe flash support, 16 GB flash storage with Micro-SD reader capable of up to 32GB of additional memory, 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and auto-focus, 2 megapixel fixed-focus front camera, Bluetooth, 8 hours battery for video playback and 10 hours for web browsing and Wi-Fi.

According to Mashable Blog, the Iconia Tab A500 will be available exclusively at Best Buy stores. Users can pre-order the A500 in Best Buy stores beginning April 14 for $449.99.

The Iconia Tab A500 could be the first Android-powered tablet to take on the iPad 2 in terms of specs and price.
