On April 24-28, Iran will host the first Kish International Film Festival. The festival aims to rehabilitate the reputation of the Iranian cinema. The event will feature the best films created within the last 5 years. Border and Return of the Poet, 2 movies by Armenian director Harutyun Khachatryan will be presented in the best documentary and best actors nominations.
Armenian camera operator and film critic Vrezh Petrosyan and David Muradyan were also invited to participate in the event.
The festival will focuses on the following subjects: status of vital teachings of Islam, focus on the spiritual and cultural virtues in the region for enhancement of the relations between the nations and the states; historical backgrounds in the ancient and vast cultural, social and economical relations between the nations of Iran, Central Asia and the Middle East; importance of civilization, culture and traditions of the people in Iran, Central Asia and the Middle East in the regional and global interactions; representation of the roles of Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea as cultural, economical and historical grounds in the world.
