YEREVAN, February 24. /Mediamax/. The official paper of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), “Azat Artsakh” published today all the 3 variants of the Karabakh conflict settlement, proposed these past years by the OSCE Minsk Group.
On Feb. 21 these proposals were published by Azeri official press, and on Feb. 22 they also appeared in the Armenian press.
“Azat Artsakh” notes today that “in connection with the fact that the Azeri press violated the principle of confidentiality of talks by publishing the proposals of the mediators, we thought it necessary to publish both the proposals and the reply of NKR authorities to the Co-chairmanship of OSCE Minsk Group on their last initiative”.
The editorial staff of “Azat Artsakh” thinks the publication will allow the readers to form an objective opinion of the position of NKR authorities.
The first two proposals – “Package settlement” and “Stage-by-stage settlement” were rejected by Nagorno Karabakh. The third – the “common state” concept, was accepted by the Karabakhi side as a basis for renewal of negotiation process with clearly formulated restrictions, which was fixed in the reply of NKR leadership to the Co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group. –0–
