YEREVAN, February 24. /Mediamax/. During the official visit of the Armenian President Robert Kocharian to Kiev on March 1-2 a number of contracts and agreements are to be signed, Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Ukrainian embassy.
The texts of the Armenian-Ukrainian agreement on economic cooperation for 2001-2010 and the Inter-governmental program for long-term economic cooperation between the two countries for 2001-2010 were agreed upon at the second session of the bilateral Armenian-Ukrainian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation issues, held in Yerevan on Feb. 20-21. The commission also suggested the signing of the following agreements during Kocharian’s visit to the Ukraine: bilateral inter-state agreement on conveying people, sentenced to imprisonment, for their further serving of the sentence; intergovernmental agreements on mutual recognition of education certificates and academic degrees; on cooperation in the sphere of preventing emergency situations and eliminating their consequences; inter-departmental memorandum on mutual assistance in tax affairs. –0–
