YEREVAN, February 23. /Mediamax/. Armenia is the 93rd among the 174 countries of the world by human development indices, while in 1999 it was the 87th, National Coordinator of UN Development Program (UNDP) Nune Yeghiazarian said today at a press conference in Yerevan.
Today the presentation of the 6th national human development report took place in the Yerevan office of the UN mission, which was prepared by a group of independent experts in cooperation with UNDP together with Armenian President’s Office.
The report, entitled “Human rights and human development – action in the name of progress”, presents the situation in human rights and human development sphere in the context of political and economic reforms.
“The choice of the subject is especially actual in the light of Armenia’s accession to the Council of Europe”, the presentation press release said. –0–
