EU “TROIKA” DISCUSSED IN YEREVAN PERSPECTIVES OF INCREASING EFFECTIVENESS OF TRACECA AND INOGATE PROGRAMS

YEREVAN, February 20. /Mediamax/. At the meeting with the “Troika” of the European Union – the Foreign Minister of Sweden Anna Lindh, the EU High Representative of the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, and the EU Commissioner responsible for External Relations, Chris Patten – Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian discussed today the perspectives of increasing the effectiveness of TRACECA and INOGATE programs.
As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, the sides discussed also the steps of creating a retraining center, proposed by Armenia and approved by the EU regional seminar on information technologies.
The Foreign minister of Sweden congratulated Armenia with the full membership in the Council of Europe. Minister Oskanian highly assessed the willingness of the European Union to play a more active political role in the region of the Caucasus. –0–
