YEREVAN, February 20. /Mediamax/. The National Assembly of Armenia ratified today three Armenian-Russian agreements in military sphere, signed by the defense ministers of the two countries on 16 March 2000.
The Armenian parliament ratified: the “Agreement between the Republic of Armenia (RA) and Russian Federation about the tasks and authorities of the military team of RA Armed Forces (AF) and the operative group of the Russian military base on the territory of RA on control of forces and means of air-defense (AD) and aviation of RA AF and forces and means of AD and the aviation of the Russian military base from a united command point of AD and RA AF aviation”; “Armenian-Russian agreement on joint military AD duty of AD troops and aviation of Armenian Armed Forces and the Russian military base on the territory of Armenia”; “Armenian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on order of giving to RA military units and sub-units of AD of Armenian Armed Forces on the part of the Russian Federation firing grounds for holding military shooting-ranges”.
All the three agreements were ratified by the State Duma of the Russian Federation in April 2000. –0–
