Communication and IT (ICT) sector proceeds grossed AMD 45,6 bln in the first quarter of 2011 in Armenia, dropping by 0,6% against last year’s index.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, production in the sector of technologies and telecommunications yielded AMD 355 million decreasing by 3.3% compared with 2010 results. Sales volumes of communication and IT sector amounted AMD 5,7 billion in the first quarter of 2011, increasing by 54% compared with the same period in 2010.
Over January-March 2011, proceeds from telecommunication and IT services totaled AMD 39,6 billion, decreasing by 4,9% against 2010 results.
