VICTIMS OF GREEK GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY IN 1916 TO BE COMMEMORATED IN YEREVAN

May 19 wreaths will be laid to “Tsitsernakaberd” Yerevan Memorial Complex in the memory of victims of the Greek Genocide in the Ottoman Turkey in 1916. Eduard Polatov, chairman of “Patrida” Greek organization based in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, told “Arminfo” agency. Having perpetrated genocide of 1.5 million of Armenians, the Young Turks continued the annihilation of the genuinely Christian population of Turkey and committed a new crime in 1916 by massacring hundreds of thousands of Turkish Greeks.
