ARMENIAN PRESIDENT LEAVES FOR PARIS FOR STATE VISIT

YEREVAN, February 12. /Mediamax/. Today the Armenian delegation, headed by the President of the country Robert Kocharian left for France for a state visit.
As Mediamax was informed in the press office of the president, the following officials form the Armenian delegation: Head of the Constitutional Court Gagik Harutiunian, Vice-speaker of the parliament Tigran Torosian, Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian, Minister of Industry and Trade Karen Cheshmaritian, Minister of Culture Roland Sharoyan, Ambassador for special missions Charles Aznavour, Ambassador of Armenia to France Edward Nalbandian, head of “Orinats Yerkir” parliamentary faction Arthur Baghdasarian, as well as Armenian businessmen and journalists.
In the course of the state visit to France on February 12-16, the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian will meet with the French President Jacques Chirac, Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, President of the Senate Christian Poncelet, and President of the National Assembly of France Raymond Forni.
Robert Kocharian will also have meetings with representatives of Armenian community of France and French businessmen. On February 15, within the frames of the state visit, the Armenian delegation will visit Lyons. -0-
