The Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) will study the unequal conditions established between local companies dealing with hothouses and importers of glass-grown vegetables, specifically, tomatoes from Turkey.
Armenian entrepreneurs are displeased with the fact that tomatoes imported from Turkey are sold at a very low price, what hampers local production, the SCPEC press service reported.
On May 6, it was decided to thoroughly study the activity of vegetable importers from Turkey with respect to possible violation of the RA Law on Protection of Economic Competition. The results of the study will be made public.
