UKRAINE AND IRAN TO SET UP WORKING GROUPS TO DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITIES OF EXPORTING IRANIAN GAS TO EUROPE

09.02.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Governments of the Ukraine and Iran will set up working groups to find ways to realize the project of transporting Iranian natural gas to Europe through the Ukrainian territory.
As Mediamax was informed in the Ukrainian embassy in Armenia, press secretary of the Ukrainian prime minister Natalya Zarudnaya stated this, commenting upon the results of the talks between the Ukrainian premier Viktor Yuschenko with the first vice-president of Iran Hassan Habibi.
Several mass media, quoting “Neftegaz Ukrayini”, had reported earlier that Kiev is interested in the construction of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline, which will allow later to continue the construction up to Georgian Supsa port, and then to the Crimea through the Black sea bottom. -0-
