IT’S EARLY YET TO RAISE THE QUESTION OF JAVAHETI’S JOINING TO ARMENIA, LEADER OF “NATIONAL UNITY” PARTY THINKS

08.02.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Leader of “National Unity” party, deputy of the parliament Artashes Geghamian said today in Yerevan that it’s early yet to raise the question of joining of Samtskhe-Javaheti, a Georgian region mainly inhabited by ethnic Armenians, to Armenia.
According to him, such talks will stimulate the establishment of close Georgian-Turkish military union, while Armenia will seem a source of instability in the region in the eyes of the world community. -0-
