One of the prior directions of NKR social security ministry in 2001 will become the realization of repatriate resettlement program in NKR, head of the ministry Lenston Gulian told the correspondent of Mediamax in Stepanakert. The project of the program has been already submitted to the government of NKR for approval, Gulian said.
725 million drams are to be allotted in 2001 for the rural settlement, of which 630 million are to be spent on dwelling construction and points of social importance; the rest is envisaged for privileges for the repatriates. In particular, each family, arriving in NKR for permanent residence in rural area is given lump sum allowance and privilege credit for 20 years, estimated 200 thousand drams. Besides, each family will get a house with land lot, as well as plot of arable land of 0.6 hectares per head.
Last year 194 families moved to NKR, the Minister said. 400 more families, mostly refugees from Azerbaijan, were queued up and are ready to leave Armenia for Artsakh. At the same time Gulian said also families from CIS, particularly from Turkmenistan and Ukraine, have settled in NKR. 4 Armenian families arrived in NKR from Iran.
Lenston Gulian particularly stressed that providing the return and normal dwelling conditions for the repatriates in Artsakh is a national task, which requires considerable means, and consequently, consolidation of efforts of all Armenians. -0-
