23.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The income part of Armenia’s budget-2000 was realized for only 80 %, as a result of which public health and transport spheres didn’t get sufficient financing, World Bank Regional director for Southern Caucasian states Judi O’Connor said today at a press conference in Yerevan.
According to her, during the last meetings in the Armenian government she was assured that the situation would change this year. Otherwise, if Armenia doesn’t fulfill some obligations, WB may cut the credit programs, realized in Armenia, “which under present conditions is not very favorable for Armenia”. -0-
