17.01.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The ceremony of new simulator opening was held at the Armenian Nuclear Power Station (ANPS) on January 16. This project is financed by the European Union.
As Mediamax was informed in the European Union office in Armenia, the simulator provides long-term and systematic training for the Station staff, which will acquaint the station personnel with the work regime in non-standard and emergency situations.
During the last years the question of increasing security of ANPS is a priority for the European Union. The works the European Community has realized at ANPS since 1996, amount to the total of 12 million Euros. 11 million Euros more are to be allotted in 2001 for the realization of works on increasing the security of the station. -0–
