12.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today Armenian Premier Andranik Margarian introduced to the staff of the mayor’s office of Yerevan the newly appointed Mayor of the capital Robert Nazarian, Mediamax was informed in the press service of the government of the country.
According to Margarian, the resignation of the ex-mayor Albert Bazeyan does not have any political hidden motives. “Mr. Bazeyan has never had and doesn’t have any ideological disagreements with the president, the government and the prime minister of the country,” he said.
Margarian stressed that there existed several problems with the rate of fulfillment of urban tasks, in connection with what the president suggested Bazeyan transfer to another post.
“I, as the Prime Minister and the chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, the member of which Bazeyan is, will do my best so that his potential in the matter of resolving state tasks is claimed”, stressed the head of the Armenian Government.
The new mayor of Yerevan Robert Nazarian previously held the post of the deputy energy minister of Armenia. -0-
