THE MEETING OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF COMMISSIONS ON DELIMITATION OF ARMENIAN-GEORGIAN BORDER WILL BE HELD IN LATE JANUARY

12.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The meeting of the representatives of the commissions on delimitation of the Armenian-Georgian border to resolve the issue of uncoordinated border sections between the two states will be held in late January.
As the ambassador for extraordinary missions of the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the head of state commission on border delimitation Zaza Kandelaki told Prime News, there is a lot of work to be done in this respect. It is necessary to once again draw the Georgian-Armenian boundary-line of 206 km. According to Kandelaki, the Armenian side works comparatively at a slow pace in this direction.
The length of the state border of Georgia is 2130 km, from which the Georgian-Armenian border section makes up 206 km. -0-
