OSCE HOLDS ITS REGULAR MONITORING ON ARMENIAN-AZERI BORDER

09.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. On January 8 the OSCE mission held in northeast of Martakert region of NRK its planned monitoring of two sections of the contact line of Karabakhi and Azeri Armed Forces – on Martakert-Leninavan highway and at Karmiravan settlement, the correspondent of Mediamax reports from Stepanakert.
The NKR group was led by the coordinator of the office of the personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lieutenant-Colonel Shandor Yukhas. The field assistant of the personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Vladimir Tolkach (Ukraine), the representative of the OSCE High level planning group Lieutenant-Colonel James McNamara (Ireland) were included in the group.
During the monitoring the present situation in the region was discussed between the OSCE representatives and the commanders, responsible for that section of contact line.
Radio-exchange was realized between the commanders of the Armed Forces of NKR and Azerbaijan. The monitoring was held according to the schedule prepared beforehand.
The representatives of the Foreign Affairs and Defense ministries of NKR accompanied the OSCE mission group. -0-
