TRIAL OF NKR EX DEFENSE MINISTER TO BE RESUMED ON JANUARY 8

29.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today the court session of the case of the terrorist act against NKR President proceeded with testimony hearings.
The deputy Armament Commander of NKR Defense Army Vyacheslav Usnunts declared that he wasn’t informed about the unregistered captured weapon in the military units, which was later transferred to Babayan’s house by the latter’s command.
NKR ex defense minister Samvel Babayan said NKR Defense Minister gave the order not to register certain amount of captured weapon, but Usnunts refuted his words saying that all the captured weapon was being handed over to army warehouses and had to be registered.
The trial is postponed till January 8, 2001 due to New Year and Christmas holidays. -0-
