ANOTHER HACKER ATTACK LAUNCHED TODAY AGAINST THE BIGGEST INTERNET PROVIDER IN ARMENIA

28.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Another DDoS attack has been launched this morning against the servers of Arminco, the biggest Internet provider of Armenia.
As Mediamax was informed in Arminco, the attack comes from different sites. The hackers now are targeting misconfigured nameservers and the worst thing is that if a server has been configured properly then it is exhausted with multiply requests from vulnerable ‘crowd’, if it is misconfigured, then the chances are – it soon becomes another victim involved into attack against someone else (that’s why it called Distributed DoS).
As Mediamax was informed in Arminco, the company is now waiting for appropriate actions from Teleglobe and Cable&Wireless.
On December 19 Arminco company has already been attacked by unknown hackers from Indonesia. -0-
