20.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack was launched yesterday, December 19, against Arminco Company – the largest Internet Provider of Armenia.
As Mediamax was informed in “Arminco”, the attacker (one of the identified hosts belongs to the Indonesian ISP) sent a packet storm creating a heavy traffic thus compromising the availability of their connection outside.
“Arminco” also informed about this situation “ArmenTel” – the monopolist in the telecommunications sphere of Armenia. –0–
