DEFENSE MINISTERS OF ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN MEET AT THE BORDER

15.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Defense Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Serzh Sarkisian and Safar Abiyev met near Sadarak region (autonomous republic of Nakhichevan) at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The parties agreed on the meeting during the recent visit of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairmen for the Karabakh conflict settlement to the region. The mediators expressed confidence that such meeting will promote the cease-fire regime at the border. -0-
