HEAD OF ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT OF THE DEFENSE MINISTRY OF ARMENIA IS ARRESTED

13.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Head of the administrative department of the Defense Ministry of Armenia, Colonel Avag Khachatrian was arrested during the operation carried out by the National Security Ministry (NSM) together with the Military police, Mediamax was informed today in public relations department of NSM of Armenia.
Avag Khachatrian was arrested on December 9. A special operation detected great amount of weapon and ammunition, military communication means, optic devices and 105 thousand U.S. dollars in Khachatrian’s house and garage.
Proceedings are instituted against Avag Khachatrian; the investigation is headed by the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia. -0-
