08.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “Armenia can join the “North-South” transport corridor agreement, signed on September 12, 2000 by Russia, India, Iran and Oman”, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Anatoly Dryukov said today in the interview to Yerevan “Iravunk” paper.
The Russian diplomat stressed that alleviation of transport blockade of Armenia will be very significant in developing Armenian-Russian economic cooperation. In this context Dryukov pointed out the project of Poti-Caucasus Port train ferry, for the realization of which Armenian-Russian joint venture has been formed. “The realization of this project will increase the commodity circulation between Armenia and Russia for 2,5-3 times, making up 500 million dollars annually”, Russian Ambassador said. -0-
