NATIONAL-DEMOCRATIC UNION OF ARMENIA TO BECOME AN ALTERNATIVE TO AUTHORITIES

06.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “The extraordinary congress of the National-Democratic Union (NDU), held on December 2-3, will play a consolidating role for our party”, stated in the interview to Mediamax the NDU board chairman, deputy of the Armenian parliament Vazgen Manukian.
He said that NDU must become an alternative to the acting authorities. “But we must not only criticize the authorities, but also suggest concrete political and economic programs”, the NDU leader said.
Manukian stressed that despite the dissatisfaction of the majority of NDU members with party’s activity, the National-Democratic Union has started an open discussion of complicated issues, which, according to him, “testifies the healthy internal party situation”. -0-
