30.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. A two-meter unexploded shell was found on November 29 during road-construction works in NKR capital Stepanakert on central Azatamartikneri Avenue, opposite the tax office of the republic. The shell, left since Karabakh war times, was found 1.5 meters underground, reports Mediamax correspondent from Stepanakert.
The dangerous discovery was rendered harmless by joint efforts of NKR Emergency situations department staff and non-governmental Halo Trust international organization. -0-
