Just 1 Dollar short film by Artashes Hovanessian, president of the Center of All Armenian Non-commercial Cinema (CANC), will be screened at 7th Lago Film Fest to take place from July 22 to 30, 2011 in Italy.
The film will be represented in New Signs Award nomination, which is created for section dedicated to the experimental and artistic productions.
Lago Film Fest, international festival of short films, documentaries and screenplays, is a cultural event with the aim of promoting and appreciating emerging movie artists. The main categories are: International Short Films and Animations competition (short films of any genre and theme may complete, with a length of less than 30 minutes); International Documentary competition (documentaries of international production, having a length of less than 50 minutes).
It also gives Special Prizes like UNICEF Award (films realized for and by the children, short films and documentaries, Sui Generis Award (special award Sui Generis is created for section dedicated to the productions of horror films, westerns, sci-fi and Veneto Region Award (films shot in Veneto).
