28.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. On the threshold of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity as state religion by Armenia, restoration works of historical Artsakh monuments have started in Nagorno Karabakh.
As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of NKR, in particular, the gates of the church complex “Bri Yekhtsi” (12-13th cent.) in the village of Atsi of Nagorno-Karabakh Martuni region will be opened again. Being located on the crossroad between Transcaucasus and Persia, “Bri Yekhtsi” was a peculiar link between East and West.
Works registering monuments in Stepanakert and in its surroundings, where more than 2 dozens of churches, ancient bridges, khachkars, cemeteries, all not on the books before, are carried out. -0-
