THE PRESIDENTS OF ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN ARE READY TO COMPROMISE, STATES OSCE CHAIRPERSON-IN-OFFICE

27.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. I would like to appeal to the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue their direct dialogue, which introduced a new era in the peace process.
As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the OSCE, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office of the, Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner declared about this in her introductory speech at the session of the OSCE Foreign Ministers Council in Vienna.
Benita Ferrero-Waldner stated that during her visit to Yerevan and Baku this summer she got the impression that Robert Kocharian and Heydar Aliyev were ready to compromise. -0-
