24.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The heads of foreign policy departments of four unrecognized republics – Nagorno Karabakh, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Pridnestrovie, established at the meeting in Tiraspol a constantly acting coordination body – Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
The ministers declared that the settlement of the conflicts are possible solely on the basis of equality of the parties concerned. They also noted that the possible formation of a peace-making contingent within the framework of GUUAM organization, in which Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Moldavia are united, contradicts the interests of Sukhumi, Tskhinvali, Stepanakert and Tiraspol, the Russian “Segodnia” paper reports.
It is expected that the meeting of the Defense ministers and heads of unrecognized republics will be held in the future. -0-
