23.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. During the meeting of Armenian President Robert Kocharian, who is in Greece for an official visit, with undersecretary of national economy of Greece Yiannis Zafiropoulos, an agreement was reached that a Greek business delegation will visit Armenia in the first two months of 2001.
Greek Premier Costas Simitis on November 22 cited Athens interest in directing more investments in Armenia, as he received visiting Armenian President Robert Kocharian . Economic relations have not yet reached the level of political ties, the Armenian leader stated.
In the meeting they also discussed the future developments in the energy market and Mr. Simitis stated that oil price increases give a special importance to the Black Sea and the countries in the region regardless of whether they have oil or not. -0-
